Terms of service
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms cover your use of ReviewDesk. By opening a desk you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
The service
ReviewDesk connects to the Google Business Profile of a business you own or manage. It lists the reviews left there, helps you draft and publish replies, creates posts you write, and sends review requests to customers whose details you enter.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, for keeping your password to yourself, and for the people you invite to your desk. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You must be an owner or manager of the Google Business Profile you connect. Connecting a profile you do not control is a breach of these terms and of Google’s.
Review integrity
Google’s policies prohibit review gating, incentives, and fake reviews, and so do we. You must not use ReviewDesk to:
- filter who gets asked for a review based on how happy you think they are
- offer money, discounts, gifts, or entry to a contest in exchange for a review
- ask anyone to change, delete, or update a rating they already left
- write reviews for your own business, or pay anyone to write them
- ask for reviews from people who were never customers
The desk is built to make these hard — the same request goes to everyone, and drafted replies never ask for a rating to change. If we find an account doing any of it anyway, we will close the desk.
Replies and posts you publish
The desk can draft a reply for you, but nothing reaches Google until you approve it. What gets published is yours: you are responsible for its accuracy and its tone. Drafts are generated by a language model and can be wrong — read them before you approve them.
If your business is in healthcare or another regulated field, take particular care not to confirm or reveal anything about a person in a public reply.
Customer contact details
You must have a lawful basis to contact the customers you add, and you must honour opt-outs. You are the controller of that data; we process it on your behalf. Sending review requests to people who have not agreed to hear from you is your liability, not ours.
Plans and payment
Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. Cancel any time and the desk stays open until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months. If we change a price, we will give you notice before it applies to you.
Google and other third parties
ReviewDesk depends on Google’s APIs. Google can change, rate-limit, or withdraw access, and if that happens parts of the desk may stop working through no fault of ours. Your use of Google’s services remains subject to Google’s own terms. ReviewDesk is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google.
Availability
We work to keep the desk up but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, ideally at quiet hours.
Ending it
You can close your desk at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that does not pay, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. On closure we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
Liability
ReviewDesk is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect loss.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top moves when we do, and material changes are emailed to account owners. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
